We absolutely have fallen in love with this place!!! The brisket is the best we've ever had. The burnt end baked beans are amazing, as well as the smoked mac & cheese and collard greens. Delicious!!! Great selection of sauces. And the desserts are a must try! Can't say enough great things about Haywood. You will not be disappointed!!!

My wife and I literally plan our trips to the NC Mts around the Haywood Smokehouse. We accidentally found the Dillsboro location after they'd been open for just a week and have been coming back ever since. (We live 3 hours away or we wouldn't have to space out our visits!) We've been to all three locations but Dillsboro remains our favorite, probably because it was our first. As for the menu: The brisket is my favorite, followed closely by the baked beans with burnt ends, but honestly I haven't had anything that I didn't really enjoy. And dessert? Boy, that's a tossup between the peach cobbler and banana pudding! One does not leave the Smokehouse hungry either. I remember leaving, full as a tick, getting outside and smelling the cookers at work, and thinking about going back inside for more. Looking forward to seeing y'all in June - multiple times! That trip is already booked. Like last time, we will buy a cooked butt to bring home and share with some uninitiated friends. BTW: We sure could use a franchise in the Denver, NC area! Hint, hint....

3-Meat Combo

Been wanting to try Haywood Smokehouse BBQ for some time and went for a birthday. Got ribs/sausage/brisket and got to say I've tasted no better anywhere! Brisket was totally tasty and very lean! Sausage was spicy and ribs yummy. Will go back for sure!

Chopped Pork

My husband and I visited the Waynesville location and we tried the chopped pork platter (two nights in a row!) and I had baked beans and collards and my husband had baked beans and macaroni and cheese. Hands down the best pork we have ever tasted in our lives! No sauces were used or needed!! The hickory and the rub is the perfect combination of flavors to make it absolutely perfect! We can't wait to come back to try brisket!! I recommend the Haywood Smokehouse as the #1 BBQ place in the country!

Dry Rubbed Ribs

We frequent the area multiple times a year and the Haywood Smokehouse is always and forever will be the first stop to eat. In a time a inflation the prices and portions are outstanding. This is competition level meat that falls apart and melts in your mouth. The house-made sauces are a perfect accompaniment, but go light so you can taste the meat candy. Can't forget the good service too. Make it a point to eat here when in the area to gamble or visit the Smokies.

Brunswick Stew

Very Good Brunswick Stew, but I would give this Restaurant A MUST TRY for all of it's Bar-B-Q plus dessert. A unique eating experience without breaking the budget. This is an atmosphere with LOTS o Talking around so if that doesn't bother you than come and FEEL LIKE FAMILY. Southern HOSPITALITY is shown to all dinner guests regardless of how loud the talking noise level is at the dinnertime. It didn't bother our dining and feeling like I was out in the WILD WEST just made it more memorable.
